NDIS Register

Learn how to use the NDIS Register to track NDIS reportable incidents, notifications, reports, restrictive practice checks, and case status.

Before You Start

You need access to Child Safety and Reportable Conduct.

The NDIS Register is used to track NDIS reportable incident compliance. It helps users review notification status, report progress, restrictive practice involvement, authorisation, screening review, and current case status.

Open the NDIS Register

From the left sidebar, open Child Safety.

Select Reportable Conduct.

At the top of the Reportable Conduct page, select NDIS Register.

This opens the NDIS Incident Register page.

Review the register purpose

The page shows:

NDIS Incident Register

This register is used for Form 10 and NDIS reportable incident tracking and compliance.

Use it to monitor whether NDIS-related reporting steps have been completed.

Search the register

Use the Search field to find an incident or case.

You can search by details such as:

  • Incident ID

  • Participant

  • Status

  • Report type

This is useful when there are multiple incidents in the register.

Review the register columns

The NDIS Register table includes the following columns:

  • Incident ID

  • Participant

  • 24hr Notified

  • 5-Day Report

  • Final Report

  • RP Involved

  • Authorised

  • Screening Review

  • Status

Use these columns to check the progress of NDIS reporting and compliance requirements.

Review incident rows

Each row represents one NDIS-related reportable conduct matter or incident.

The row may show:

  • The incident or case reference

  • The participant connected to the matter

  • Whether a 24-hour notification has been completed

  • Whether a 5-day report has been completed

  • Whether a final report has been completed

  • Whether restrictive practice was involved

  • Whether authorisation was recorded

  • Whether a screening review is required or completed

  • The current status

If a field shows a dash, it means the information has not been recorded or does not apply yet.

Check the status

Review the Status column to understand where the incident sits in the process.

Example statuses may include:

  • final_report_pending

  • Other case or reporting statuses based on the case workflow

Use this status to identify whether follow-up is still required.

Open the case for more detail

If you need more information, return to All Cases and open the related case.

The full case workspace lets you review:

  • Overview

  • Timeline

  • Linked Records

  • Files

  • Notes

  • Risk Actions

  • Forms

  • Reports

  • Audit

Important Notes

  • The NDIS Register is a tracking view for NDIS reportable incident compliance.

  • It does not replace the full reportable conduct case workspace.

  • The 24hr Notified, 5-Day Report, and Final Report columns help track important reporting milestones.

  • The RP Involved column refers to whether restrictive practice was involved.

  • Blank or dash fields may mean the step has not been completed, is not required, or has not been recorded yet.

Troubleshooting

  • If an incident is missing, check the All Cases tab first.

  • If the participant is missing, open the case workspace and review the People & Location section.

  • If reporting fields are blank, check the Forms and Reports tabs in the case workspace.

  • If the status looks outdated, refresh the page and check the case status.

  • If search does not return results, clear the search field and try searching by incident ID or participant name.

  • If you cannot access the NDIS Register, check your permissions for Child Safety and Reportable Conduct.
