Leave a Cora Chat Channel

Learn how to leave a Cora Chat group channel when you no longer need to be part of the conversation.

Written by Windolyn Cortes

Go to Cora Chat

From the left navigation menu, click Cora Chat.

This opens your Cora Chat inbox.

Open the Group Channel

Select the group channel you want to leave from the conversation list.

The chat will open in the main conversation area.

You can confirm it is a group channel by checking the conversation header, which shows the channel name and member count.

Open the Conversation Menu

Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the conversation.

A menu will open with available actions.

Options shown may include:

  • Flag conversation

  • Add members

  • View details

  • Rename conversation

  • Leave channel

Click Leave Channel

Click Leave channel.

This removes you from the group conversation.

After leaving, you may no longer be able to see or send messages in that channel unless someone adds you again.

Important Notes

  • Leave channel is used for group conversations.

  • Leaving a channel only removes your own access.

  • It does not delete the channel for other members.

  • Other members can continue using the conversation.

  • You may need to be added back by another member or administrator if you need access again.

  • If the channel is used for important updates, check with your manager before leaving.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot see Leave channel:

  • Confirm that you have opened a group channel.

  • Check that you are a member of the conversation.

  • Refresh the page and try again.

  • Ask an administrator to review your Cora Chat permissions.

If you left a channel by mistake:

  • Ask another member or administrator to add you back.

  • Check your inbox after being re-added.
