RCS Register

Learn how to use the RCS Register to track commission compliance, report submissions, investigation outcomes, workforce actions, CAPA, and case closure.

Before You Start

You need access to Child Safety and Reportable Conduct.

The RCS Register is a master tracker for reportable conduct scheme cases. It helps users review key compliance dates, reporting milestones, outcomes, and closure status in one table.

Open the RCS Register

From the left sidebar, open Child Safety.

Select Reportable Conduct.

At the top of the Reportable Conduct page, select RCS Register.

This opens the RCS Register (Master Tracker) page.

Review the register purpose

The RCS Register is used for statewide commission compliance tracking and investigation outcomes.

Use this page to quickly check:

  • Case references

  • Matter type

  • Date aware

  • Commission notification status

  • 3-day reporting status

  • Interim and final submission status

  • Investigation progress

  • Outcome

  • Workforce actions

  • CAPA

  • Closure status

Search the register

Use the Search field to find a case in the register.

You can search by details such as:

  • Case ID

  • Matter type

  • Status

  • Outcome

This is useful when the register contains many cases.

Review the register columns

The RCS Register table includes the following columns:

  • Case

  • Type

  • Date Aware

  • Commission Notified

  • 3-Day

  • Interim Submitted

  • Final Submitted

  • Investigation

  • Outcome

  • Workforce Action

  • CAPA

  • Closed

Use these columns to track whether each case has met its reporting and investigation requirements.

Review case rows

Each row represents one reportable conduct case.

The row may show:

  • The case reference, such as RCS-2026-0002

  • The type, such as allegation

  • The date aware

  • Submission or notification fields

  • The current outcome

  • The closed date, if the case has been closed

If a field shows a dash, it means that information has not been recorded or does not apply yet.

Check the outcome status

Review the Outcome column to see the current case result or status.

Examples may include:

  • closed

  • final_report_pending

Use this column to understand where the case currently sits in the reporting or closure process.

Use the case tabs if needed

If you need to review a case in more detail, use the other Reportable Conduct tabs:

  • All Cases

  • Active

  • Action Required

  • Closed

  • Drafts

  • NDIS Register

You can open the case from the case list to review the full case workspace.

Important Notes

  • The RCS Register is a tracking view. It does not replace the full case workspace.

  • Some register fields may remain blank until reports are generated, submitted, or case actions are completed.

  • The Date Aware field is important because reporting deadlines are based on when the organisation became aware of the matter.

  • The register helps track compliance and investigation progress across all reportable conduct cases.

Troubleshooting

  • If a case is missing from the RCS Register, check the All Cases tab first.

  • If a field is blank, open the case workspace and check whether that information has been completed.

  • If reporting dates look incorrect, review the case Aware Date and report records.

  • If the outcome looks outdated, refresh the page and check the case status.

  • If the search does not return results, clear the search field and try searching by case ID.

  • If you cannot access the RCS Register, check your permissions for Child Safety and Reportable Conduct.
