Reportable Conduct Audit

Learn how to use the Audit tab to review automatically logged case activity and understand when no audit entries are available.

Written by Windolyn Cortes

Before You Start

You need access to Child Safety and Reportable Conduct.

A reportable conduct case must already exist before you can view its Audit tab.

The Audit tab is used to review automatically logged case activity for the selected case.

Open the case workspace

From the left sidebar, open Child Safety.

Select Reportable Conduct.

Open the case you want to review.

This opens the RCS Case Workspace.

Open the Audit tab

At the top of the case workspace, select Audit.

The Audit tab appears with the other case tabs, including:

  • Overview

  • Timeline

  • Linked Records

  • Files

  • Notes

  • Risk Actions

  • Forms

  • Reports

  • Audit

Review audit entries

Audit entries will appear in this tab automatically when case activity is logged.

These entries may include system-recorded actions such as:

  • Case updates

  • Status changes

  • File activity

  • Report activity

  • Form activity

  • Other case-related changes

Understand the empty state

If there are no audit entries yet, the page will show:

No audit entries

The message explains that case activity will be logged here automatically.

This means there is currently no audit activity available to display for the selected case.

Compare Audit with Timeline

Use the Timeline tab for a user-friendly activity history.

Use the Audit tab for automatically logged case activity.

Both tabs help support case review, but they may show different levels of detail depending on the action recorded.

Important Notes

  • Audit entries are created automatically by the system.

  • The Audit tab is mainly used for review, compliance, and case history checks.

  • If no entries appear, it does not always mean nothing has happened. Some activity may appear in the Timeline tab instead.

  • The Audit tab is specific to the selected case.

Troubleshooting

  • If no audit entries appear, check whether the case has any recent activity.

  • If expected activity is missing, refresh the page and check again.

  • If you need to review case status changes, check the Timeline tab.

  • If you are viewing the wrong case, go back to the case list and open the correct case.

  • If you cannot access the Audit tab, check your permissions for Child Safety and Reportable Conduct.
