Reconciliation Overview

Learn how to use the Reconciliation Overview to review expected hours, actual hours, savings, overages, pending reviews, and contingency across houses.

Before You Start

You need access to Child Safety and Reconciliation.

The Reconciliation Overview shows totals across every house. Data will appear after houses are configured, shifts are rostered, and the reconciliation engine has run.

Open Reconciliation Overview

From the left sidebar, open Child Safety.

Select Reconciliation.

The Overview tab opens by default.

Review the Overview tabs

At the top of the page, you will see the Reconciliation tabs:

  • Overview

  • Houses

  • Regional

  • Review queue

  • Contingency

Use these tabs to move between summary data, house-level details, regional data, items needing review, and contingency reporting.

Review reconciliation activity

The main summary card shows whether there is current reconciliation activity.

This area may show:

  • Pending reviews

  • Uplifts awaiting approval

  • Contingency remaining

  • Saved period

If there is no activity yet, the page will show No reconciliation activity.

Review reconciliation periods

The reconciliation periods chart shows expected, actual, saved, and overage hours over time.

If no periods have been generated yet, the page will show No reconciliation periods yet.

This means the engine has not produced period data yet.

Review house performance cards

The Overview page includes house performance cards.

These include:

  • Top houses by overage

  • Top houses by savings

  • Recent overages

If there are no overages or savings yet, the cards will show empty messages.

Examples include:

  • No overages

  • No saved-hour pools generated yet

  • No overages detected in this range

Review the Contingency section

The Contingency section shows contingency usage across all houses with contingency enabled.

This section includes:

  • Used (period)

  • Cost (period)

  • Remaining (all houses)

Use this area to see how many hours have been funded from contingency, the period cost, and the remaining contingency budget.

Open the full contingency report

Select See full report in the Contingency section.

This opens the Contingency tab at:

/reconciliation/contingency

The full report shows contingency draws, costs, remaining budget, filters, export options, and departmental export.

Review the empty setup message

If no houses are ready for reconciliation, the page may show Nothing to reconcile yet.

This means houses still need to be configured and shifts need to be rostered.

Select Go to Sites to open the Sites area and configure a house with expected hours.

Important Notes

  • The Overview page is a summary dashboard for reconciliation activity across houses.

  • Reconciliation data appears after houses are configured, shifts are rostered, and the reconciliation engine has run.

  • The See full report link in the Contingency section redirects to the Contingency tab.

  • If the page shows empty states, it usually means there is no reconciliation activity for the current period.

  • The Go to Sites link helps users configure houses before reconciliation can begin.

Troubleshooting

  • If no reconciliation data appears, check that houses are configured in Sites.

  • If the page shows Nothing to reconcile yet, open a house from Sites and set its expected hours.

  • If reconciliation periods are missing, the reconciliation engine may not have run yet.

  • If overages or savings are missing, confirm that rostered shifts exist for the relevant houses and period.

  • If contingency values show A$0.00, check whether contingency is enabled and configured for the relevant houses.

  • If you cannot access Reconciliation, check your permissions for Child Safety and Reconciliation.
