Open Cora Chat
From the left navigation menu, click Cora Chat.
This opens your Cora Chat inbox, where you can view your direct messages and group channels.
Select the Conversation
Click the conversation you want to rename from the inbox list.
The conversation will open on the right side of the page.
Check the conversation header to make sure you are editing the correct channel.
Open the Conversation Menu
Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the conversation.
A menu will appear with available conversation actions, such as:
Remove flag or Flag conversation
Add members
View details
Rename conversation
Leave channel
Click Rename Conversation
Click Rename conversation.
The Rename conversation window will open.
This window shows the current conversation name and explains that the name will be visible to everyone in the channel.
Enter the New Conversation Name
In the Conversation Name field, type the new channel name.
Use a clear name that helps members understand the purpose of the conversation.

Team Updates
Rostering Questions
Client Support Team
Finance Follow-ups
Important note:
The new name will be visible to everyone in the channel.
Save the Changes
Click Save to update the conversation name.
If you do not want to continue, click Cancel.
After saving, the updated name will appear in the conversation header and conversation list.
Important Notes
Renaming a conversation does not remove members.
Renaming a conversation does not delete messages.
The new conversation name is visible to all members in the channel.
The Save button may stay disabled until the name is changed or a valid name is entered.
Use clear and professional names, especially for work-related channels.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot see Rename conversation:
Confirm that you have opened a conversation.
Check that you are a member of the channel.
Refresh the page and try again.
Ask an administrator to review your Cora Chat permissions.
If the Save button is disabled:
Make sure the conversation name has been changed.
Check that the field is not empty.
Try using a shorter or clearer name.
If the new name does not appear:
Refresh Cora Chat.
Reopen the conversation.
Check whether another user has changed the name again.
