This opens the Shift Pay Rates page.

Review the Shift Pay Rates page

The Shift Pay Rates page shows hourly rate categories used for staff pay.

The page includes:

  • A Search pay rates field

  • A finance integration warning if Xero is not connected

  • Pay rate groups by employment type

  • Pay rate rows by shift type or time

Review the finance integration warning

If Xero is not connected, you will see a message asking you to Connect your company’s Xero account.

This warning means the system cannot yet view or assign finance software pay items for shift pay rates.

To resolve this, go to Admin > Integrations and authenticate the finance integration.

Screenshot recommended: Place a screenshot after this step showing the Xero connection warning on the Shift Pay Rates page.

You can search by terms such as:

Important Notes

  • Shift pay rates are grouped by employment type, such as Training, Casual, Part Time, and Full Time.

  • The rate types help determine how staff are paid across different shift conditions, such as nights, weekends, overtime, and public holidays.

  • If Xero is not connected, pay item mapping may not be available.

  • The visible pay rates may depend on your organization’s finance and payroll setup.

Troubleshooting

  • If pay rates are not showing correctly, refresh the page and check again.

  • If the page shows a Xero warning, connect the finance integration through Admin > Integrations.

  • If you cannot assign finance software pay items, confirm that Xero is connected.

  • If a pay rate is missing, check your organisation’s payroll setup or finance configuration.

  • If search does not return results, clear the search field and browse by employment type.

  • If you cannot access Shift Pay Rates, check your permissions for Finance.
