Open Roster Configuration
Go to Admin > Configuration.
In the Configuration sidebar, click Roster.
Set the Default Staff Pay Calendar
Find the Default Staff Pay Calendar section.
Use the Pay Calendar dropdown to select a default pay calendar for new staff.
If no calendar is selected, new staff may not be assigned to a pay calendar automatically.
Click Save.
Set the Default Roster Pay Calendar
Find the Default Roster Pay Calendar section.
Use the Pay Calendar dropdown to select the default pay calendar for the roster view.
When set, the roster uses this pay calendar as the default for roster cost viewing.
Click Save.
Important Notes
The Default Staff Pay Calendar affects new staff assignment.
The Default Roster Pay Calendar affects the default roster cost view.
If the dropdown is set to None, no default pay calendar will be applied.
These settings may affect payroll, roster costing, and finance workflows.
Existing staff records may not automatically change when defaults are updated.
Troubleshooting
If a pay calendar is missing:
Confirm the pay calendar exists.
Check that you have permission to view pay calendars.
Refresh the page and try again.
If the wrong pay calendar appears in the roster:
Confirm the correct default was selected.
Check whether the roster view has its own selected pay calendar.
Review staff-specific pay calendar settings.
