Diversity Sync’d supports multiple connected Xero organisations. You can connect more than one organisation, manage each connection individually, and select the appropriate Xero organisation for payroll or claim invoicing.
1. Open Xero Integrations
Go to Admin.
Select Integrations.
Select Xero.
Open the Xero integration page.
The Xero integration page shows the current connection status and the number of Xero organisations linked to Diversity Sync’d.
If Xero has not been connected yet, a Connect button is displayed.
2. Connect to Xero
On the Xero integration page, click Connect.
You will be redirected to Xero.
Sign in to your Xero account if required.
Review the organisation and permissions displayed by Xero.
Select the Xero organisation you want to connect.
Click Allow access.
Return to Diversity Sync’d after authorisation is complete.
The connected organisation will now be available for supported Xero workflows.
Make sure you use a Xero account with the appropriate permissions for the organisation you want to connect.
3. Confirm the Xero Organisation is Connected
Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.
Review the connection information.
Confirm that the required Xero organisation is connected.
Check the number of organisations currently linked.
Connected organisations can be used by supported payroll, timesheet, claim, and invoicing workflows.
4. Connect Multiple Xero Organisations
Diversity Sync’d supports more than one connected Xero organisation.
To connect another organisation:
Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.
Click the three-dot menu.
Select Add Organisation.
Sign in to Xero if required.
Select the additional Xero organisation.
Click Allow access.
Return to Diversity Sync’d.
Confirm that the number of linked organisations has increased.
Connecting another Xero organisation does not remove organisations that are already connected.
5. View Connected Xero Organisations
Connected Xero organisations can be reviewed individually.
Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.
Click the three-dot menu.
Select View Connected Orgs.
Review the organisations currently connected to Diversity Sync’d.
Use this area to confirm that the required organisation is available before completing payroll, timesheet, claim, or invoicing actions.
6. Disconnect a Xero Organisation
Connected Xero organisations can be disconnected individually.
Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.
Click the three-dot menu.
Select View Connected Orgs.
Locate the organisation you want to disconnect.
Select the available disconnect option.
Confirm the action when prompted.
Disconnecting one Xero organisation does not disconnect the other organisations linked to Diversity Sync’d.
If existing claims or other records reference the disconnected organisation, Diversity Sync’d may continue to display the affected organisation by name.
7. Select the Correct Xero Organisation for Payroll
The Xero organisation used for payroll-related configuration is selected separately from the organisation that may be used when sending claims.
Go to Finance > Xero.
Open the Xero section.
Review the Organisation dropdown.
Select the Xero organisation you want Diversity Sync’d to use for payroll-related workflows.
Confirm that the selected organisation is correct before continuing.
The selected organisation may be used for:
Timesheet syncing
Pay rate assignment
Staff mapping
Allowance mapping
Leave
Related Xero payroll information
If you have access to more than one Xero organisation, check the selected organisation carefully before updating payroll configuration.
8. Select the Correct Xero Organisation for Claims
When sending a claim to Xero, Diversity Sync’d can use the appropriate connected Xero organisation.
Before sending a claim to Xero:
Open the claim you want to send.
Start the available Xero invoicing action.
Select the required Xero Organisation when prompted.
Confirm that the selected organisation is correct.
Review the available Xero account information.
Continue with the Xero action.
Diversity Sync’d uses the selected Xero organisation and its configured Chart of Accounts throughout the claim-sending process.
Xero customers, contacts, and account information shown during the process are based on the selected organisation.
If the selected organisation has no available customers, Diversity Sync’d will provide information explaining why a customer cannot currently be selected.
9. Review Xero Connection Messages
Diversity Sync’d provides connection information when there is an issue with a Xero organisation.
You may see messages when:
A Xero organisation has been disconnected.
A connection requires attention.
A previously connected Xero organisation is no longer available.
Reconnection or reauthorisation is required.
No available Xero customers can be found for the selected organisation.
A Xero connection or synchronisation action cannot be completed.
Where available, the affected Xero organisation is identified by name.
Users who have permission to manage integrations may also be provided with a direct link to Integrations from a Xero connection warning.
10. Reconnect a Xero Organisation
If a Xero organisation requires reconnection:
Review the Xero warning or connection message.
Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.
Click the three-dot menu.
Open View Connected Orgs if required.
Locate the affected organisation.
Use the available reconnect or authorisation option.
Complete the Xero authorisation process if required.
Return to Diversity Sync’d.
Confirm that the organisation is available again.
A temporary failure while checking the Xero connection does not necessarily mean that the organisation has been disconnected.
Always review the displayed connection information before reconnecting or removing an organisation.
Important Notes
Diversity Sync’d can connect to multiple Xero organisations.
Connected Xero organisations can be reviewed and disconnected individually.
The Xero organisation selected for payroll configuration may be different from the organisation selected when sending a claim.
When sending claims, Diversity Sync’d uses the selected Xero organisation and its configured Chart of Accounts.
Xero customers, contacts, and account information are associated with the relevant connected organisation.
If a claim references a Xero organisation that is no longer available, Diversity Sync’d may display the affected organisation by name.
If a previous Xero invoice for a claim has been voided or deleted, the claim can be re-issued to Xero using a new versioned invoice reference.
Credit Notes created for eligible NDIS claims can be mirrored to Xero as allocated Credit Notes.
Default allowances cannot be renamed or deleted, but they remain available for Xero mapping.
Reconnection or reauthorisation may be required depending on the Xero connection or authentication state.
