Before You Start
Before connecting Xero, make sure you have permission to access and manage integrations.
Required permissions:
View the integrations tab in the admin panel
Add and remove integration connections
You will also need an active Xero account and the correct Xero login details.
Go to Admin
From the left navigation menu, click Admin.
This opens the Admin area, where you can manage users, roles, logs, integrations, billing, configuration, and notifications.
Open the Integrations Tab
At the top of the Admin page, click Integrations.
This opens the Integrations page.
Find Xero
On the Integrations page, find Xero in the list.
The Xero card shows the connection status.
If Xero is not connected, the status will show:
Not Connected
The Xero card may also include a short description, such as: Streamline timesheets and staff sync. Each login session will require a reconnect.
Click Connect
Click the Connect button on the Xero row.
This starts the Xero connection process.
Review the Xero Integration Details
After clicking Connect, a connection window will appear.
The window will show:
Connect Xero to Diversity Sync’d
It explains what the Xero integration can help with, including:
Sync timesheets and payroll data
Create and manage invoices
Access organisation and contact details
Reconcile payments and billing
Review the information before continuing.
Click Integrate
Click Integrate to continue.
By clicking Integrate, you authorise Xero to connect with Diversity Sync’d based on the permissions shown in the connection window.
If you do not want to continue, click Cancel.
Log In to Xero
After clicking Integrate, you will be redirected to the Xero login screen.
Enter your Xero email address and password.
Then click Log in.
Complete the Xero Authorisation
After logging in, follow the prompts from Xero to authorise the connection.
Once the connection is complete, you will be redirected back to Diversity Sync’d.
The Xero integration status should now show as Connected.
Notes
You may need to reconnect Xero for each login session.
If the connection does not complete, check that you are using the correct Xero account.
Make sure your Xero account has permission to authorise integrations.
If you still cannot connect, contact your system administrator or support team.
