Before You Start

You can reset a password in three main ways:

  • Option 1: From your profile: Use this if you are already signed in and want to change your own password.

  • Option 2: Forgot password: Use this if you are locked out or cannot remember your password.

  • Option 3: From Admin > Users: Use this if you are an admin and need to reset another user’s password, or your own password from the user list.

Required permissions for admin password resets:

  • Access to the Admin area

  • Access to the Users tab

  • Permission to manage users

  • Permission to reset user passwords

If you cannot see the Reset Password option, ask an administrator to check your role permissions.

Option 1: Change Your Password While Signed In

Open Your Profile Menu

Click your profile avatar or name from the app menu.

Depending on your screen size, this may appear:

  • In the top-right corner

  • At the bottom-left side menu

From the profile menu, click Profile.

Open the Security Tab

On the Profile page, click the Security tab.

This page includes your sign-in settings, two-factor authentication options, and recent login information.

Manage Your Email and Password Sign-in Method

Under Sign-in Methods, find Email and password.

Click Manage.

This opens the Change Password modal.

Enter Your New Password

In the Change Password modal, enter your new password.

Complete both fields:

  • New Password

  • Confirm New Password

Both fields are required.

Save the Password Change

Click Change Password to confirm the update.

If the button is disabled, check that:

  • Both password fields are filled in

  • The passwords match

  • The password meets the required rules

After the password is changed, you may be signed out of existing sessions.

Option 2: Reset Your Password If You’re Locked Out

Use this option if you forgot your password or cannot access your account.

Go to the Login Screen

Go to the login screen at app.diversitysync.com.

Click Forgot Password

Click Forgot password?

Enter Your Email Address

Enter the email address linked to your account.

Make sure the email address is typed correctly.

Follow the Email Instructions

Check your inbox and follow the instructions sent to your email to reset your password.

If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.

Option 3: Reset a Password from Admin

Admins can also reset a password from the Users page.

Go to Admin

From the left navigation menu, click Admin.

Then open the Users tab.

Find the User

Use the Filter field to search for the user by name or email address.

You can also use the available tabs and filters, including:

  • All Users

  • Active

  • Invited

  • Role

  • Branch

  • MFA Status

If you are an admin resetting your own password, search for your own name in the user list.

Open the User Options Menu

Find the correct user row.

Click the three-dot options menu on the right side of the user row.

Select Reset Password.

Enter the New Password

In the Reset password modal, enter the new password.

Complete both fields:

  • New Password

  • Confirm Password

The password reset will end that user’s existing sessions.

Confirm the Reset

Click Reset password to save the new password.

If the button is disabled, make sure both fields are completed, and the passwords match.

Important Notes

  • Changing your own password is done from Profile > Security.

  • Forgot password is used when you are locked out or cannot remember your password.

  • Admin password resets are done from Admin > Users.

  • Resetting a password may sign the user out of existing sessions.

  • Use a strong, unique password for account security.

  • If the user has MFA enabled, they may still need to complete MFA after signing in again.

  • Admins should only reset passwords when a user needs help regaining access.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot access your account:

  • Go to the login page and use Forgot password.

  • Check your email inbox for the reset instructions.

  • Check your spam or junk folder.

  • If that does not work, ask an admin to reset your password.

If the password button is disabled:

  • Check that both password fields are filled in.

  • Make sure both passwords match.

  • Check if the password needs to meet minimum security requirements.

If you cannot see Manage on the Security page:

  • Make sure you are on Profile > Security.

  • Refresh the page and try again.

  • Contact an administrator if the option is still missing.

If you cannot see Reset Password in Admin:

  • Confirm you are in Admin > Users.

  • Open the user’s three-dot options menu.

  • Ask an administrator to check your role permissions.

If the user still cannot sign in after the reset:

  • Confirm the correct user account was updated.

  • Check if the user is locked.

  • Check if the user is active or still invited.

  • Ask the user to try signing in again with the new password.
