Important Notes

  • MFA adds extra protection by requiring a second verification step at sign-in.

  • You must complete the setup for at least one method for MFA to be fully enabled.

  • If the status shows Incomplete, MFA has not been fully set up yet.

  • Authenticator app, passkey, or biometrics, security key, and SMS are all supported options.

  • SMS rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier.

  • It is recommended to keep at least one MFA method enrolled at all times.

  • You can use Disable MFA later if you need to turn MFA off.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot see the Security tab:

  • Make sure you are signed in

  • Open Profile

  • Refresh the page and try again

If the secure setup window does not open:

  • Check whether your browser is blocking pop-ups

  • Allow the authentication window to open

  • Try again

If the page still shows Incomplete after setup:

  • Finish all steps in the secure setup flow

  • Return to the Security page

  • Refresh the page

  • Check whether the method was actually enrolled

If the QR code does not work:

  • Make sure your authenticator app is open

  • Try scanning the code again

  • Use a supported app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or Auth0 Guardian

If your passkey or biometrics setup fails:

  • Check that your browser and device support passkeys or biometric sign-in

  • Try again on the same device

  • Make sure your device security settings are enabled

If your security key is not detected:

  • Plug the key in before clicking Continue

  • If using Bluetooth, confirm it is paired

  • Try a different USB port or reconnect the key

If you do not receive the SMS code:

  • Confirm your mobile number is correct

  • Wait a moment and try again

  • Check your signal and message settings
