Before You Start
You need access to the Admin area to reset another user’s password.
Required permissions:
View the Users tab in the admin panel.
Make changes to users.
Reset user passwords from the admin panel.
If you cannot see the Users tab or the Reset Password option, ask an administrator to check your role permissions.
Go to Admin
From the left navigation menu, click Admin.
This opens the Admin area, where you can manage users, roles, logs, integrations, billing, configuration, and notifications.
Open the Users Tab
At the top of the Admin page, click Users.
The Users page shows all users in the workspace.
You can view users by:
All Users
Active
Invited
Find the User
Use the Filter field to search for the user by name or email address.
You can also use the dropdown filters to narrow the list by:
Role
Branch
MFA Status
Review the User Row
Find the correct user in the table.
The user row shows information such as:
Name
Email address
Role
2FA status
Access status
Activity status
Make sure you select the correct user before resetting the password.
Open the Options Menu
On the right side of the user row, click the three-dot options menu.
This opens the user action menu.
Click Reset Password
From the options menu, click Reset Password.
This starts the password reset process for the selected user.
Confirm the Action if Asked
If a confirmation message appears, review the details carefully.
Confirm the reset only if you are sure you selected the correct user.
After confirming, the system will process the password reset.
Let the User Know
After the password reset is triggered, let the user know they can follow the instructions.
If they still cannot access their account, check whether their account is locked, invited, or missing the correct access permissions.
Important Notes
Only authorised users can reset another user’s password.
Always check the user’s name and email address before selecting Reset Password.
Resetting a password does not automatically change the user’s role or permissions.
If the user still cannot log in, check their Access status, Activity status, and MFA setup.
If the user’s account is locked, you may need to unlock the account separately.
