Open Notification Settings
Click your profile menu from the bottom-left corner of the app.
Open Profile.
At the top of the Profile page, click Notifications.
This opens your personal notification settings page.
Review Notification Channels
The Channels section controls how notifications are delivered to you across the platform.
Available channels include:
In-app
Shows notifications in the bell and notifications page.Toast
Shows a temporary banner in the corner when new notifications arrive.Sound
Plays a short sound when notifications arrive. This respects browser autoplay rules.Email
Marked as Coming soon.Push
Marked as Coming soon and available in the Diversity Sync desktop app.
Channel toggles apply to every notification source listed below.
Turn Notification Channels On or Off
Use the toggle beside each channel to enable or disable that delivery method.
For example:
Turn In-app on if you want notifications to appear in the bell and notifications page.
Turn Toast on if you want pop-up banners.
Turn Sound on if you want an alert sound.
When you turn a channel on or off, a confirmation message may appear at the bottom of the screen.
Example messages include:
In-app notifications enabled globally
In-app notifications disabled globally
Settings save automatically.
Review Cora Chat Notification Settings
The Cora Chat section controls which chat notifications reach each delivery channel.
Cora Chat notification types may include:
Direct messages
One-on-one conversations sent directly to you.Group messages
Messages in channels and group conversations you are a member of.Someone joined a channel
Notifies you when a member is added to a channel you are in.Someone left a channel
Notifies you when a member leaves or is removed from a channel you are in.Channel updates
System messages such as renames and other channel-level changes.
Tick or untick the boxes under each delivery channel to control how you receive each type of Cora Chat notification.
Review Finance Notification Settings
The Finance section controls which finance notifications reach each delivery channel.
Finance notification types may include:
Critical alerts
Always notify and cannot be muted.Warnings
Finance warnings that may require attention.Informational updates
General finance-related updates.
Tick or untick the boxes under each delivery channel to control how you receive Finance notifications.
Critical alerts always notify regardless of these settings.
Review Shift Notes Notification Settings
The Shift Notes section controls which shift note notifications reach each delivery channel.
Shift Notes notification types may include:
Forms created for my staff
Notifies you when a form is created for a staff member you manage.Forms assigned to me
Notifies you when someone creates a form for you to complete.Forms submitted by my staff
Notifies you when a staff member you manage submits a form.Submitted forms adjusted for my staff
Notifies you when a submitted form for a staff member you manage is updated.
Tick or untick the boxes under each delivery channel to control how you receive Shift Notes notifications.
Review Announcement Notification Settings
The Announcements section controls notifications for workspace announcements.
The available notification type shown is:
Workspace announcements
Company-wide messages from administrators.
Tick or untick the boxes under each delivery channel to control how you receive announcement notifications.
Critical alerts always notify regardless of these settings.
Understand Coming Soon Channels
Some channels may be shown as Coming soon.
These include:
Email
Push
These options may appear disabled until they are available.
If a channel is disabled globally, related checkboxes may not be available for that channel.
Important Notes
Notification settings are personal to your account.
Channel toggles apply across all notification sources below.
Source-level checkboxes control specific notification types.
Settings save automatically.
Email and Push may be marked as Coming soon.
Critical alerts always notify regardless of your selected settings.
The settings icon may show Channel settings coming soon if advanced channel options are not yet available.
Troubleshooting
If you are not receiving notifications:
Check that the relevant channel is enabled in the Channels section.
Check that the notification type is ticked in the correct module section.
Confirm your browser allows notifications or sounds if using toast or sound alerts.
Refresh the page and test again.
If in-app notifications are not working:
Make sure In-app is enabled.
Check the source-level checkbox for the notification type.
Look for a confirmation message such as In-app notifications enabled globally.
If sound notifications do not play:
Make sure Sound is enabled.
Check your browser autoplay settings.
Confirm your device volume is not muted.
If Email or Push cannot be selected:
These channels may still be marked as Coming soon.
Use In-app, Toast, or Sound until they are available.
If settings do not appear to save:
Remember that changes save automatically.
Refresh the page and check whether your selections remain.
Ask an administrator to check your access if settings keep reverting.
