Take steps to ensure your Xero Account is prepared for a seamless integration before integrating with Diversity Sync'd.
Prior to integration, ensure:
You have employees created in Xero
Employee tax information is assigned (timesheets cannot sync if this has not been assigned)
Pay Calendars are configured within your Xero account
Employees are assigned to their Pay Calendar
Xero Pay items are created for both earnings rates and allowances
Each employment type has their pay rates, therefore an earnings rate for each employment type and pay grade must be created to be assigned to relevant staff within Diversity Sync'd
A training rate is created and assigned within DS.
When creating pay rates within Xero, ensure the rate type is set as a multiplier of employees ordinary earning rate.
NOTES:
When creating allowances, ensure the rate type is 'Rate Per Unit' and the type of unit is 'Hours'. For example, if an employee travelled 20km, within Xero the hourly rate will be paid for 20 hours. Whereas, one sleepover is recorded as one hour.
If an employee with Xero has a pay template, earnings rates lines will be replaced with the synced earnings rates, other sections of the employee pay template will remain.
