Before You Start
You need access to Child Safety and Reportable Conduct.
A reportable conduct case must already exist before you can upload files.
Files are used to store evidence, statements, forms, records, and supporting documents connected to the case.
Open the case workspace
From the left sidebar, open Child Safety.
Select Reportable Conduct.
Open the case you want to update.
This opens the RCS Case Workspace.
Open the Files tab
At the top of the case workspace, select Files.
The Files tab shows the Evidence & Files section.
If no files have been uploaded yet, the page will show No files uploaded.
Upload a file
Select Upload File.
You can use the Upload File button at the top-right of the Evidence & Files section or the button in the empty state.
This opens the Upload file modal.
Choose the file
In the Upload file modal, select Choose File.
Choose the file you want to upload from your device.
After selecting a file, the file name will appear beside the button.
Select a category
Use the Category dropdown to choose the file category.
For example, select Supporting Document if the file is a supporting document for the case.
Choose the category that best matches the uploaded file.
Upload the file
After choosing a file and category, select Upload.
The uploaded file will appear in the Evidence & Files table.
Review uploaded files
The Evidence & Files table shows uploaded file details.
Columns include:
File
Category
Size
Uploaded by
Date
Use this table to confirm the correct file was uploaded and categorised.
Download or delete a file
Select the three-dot menu on the right side of the file row.
Available actions include:
Download
Delete
Select Download to save a copy of the file.
Select Delete only if the file should be removed from the case.
Important Notes
Files should only be uploaded when they are relevant to the case.
Use clear file names so documents are easy to identify later.
The selected Category helps organise evidence and supporting documents.
Deleted files may not be recoverable, so confirm before deleting.
The Uploaded by and Date columns help track who added the file and when.
Troubleshooting
If the Upload button is disabled, make sure a file and category have been selected.
If the file does not appear after uploading, refresh the page and check the Files tab again.
If the wrong category was selected, delete the file and upload it again with the correct category if editing is not available.
If the file will not upload, check the file type, file size, and your internet connection.
If you cannot delete or download a file, check your permissions for Reportable Conduct.
