Managing Integrations

Learn how to view available integrations, check connection status, and connect Xero from the Admin Integrations page.

Written by Windolyn Cortes

Before You Start

You need access to the Admin area to manage integrations.

Required permissions may include:

  • Access to Admin

  • Permission to view Integrations

  • Permission to connect or manage third-party tools

  • Permission to access the connected system, such as Xero

If you cannot see the Integrations tab or the Connect button, ask an administrator to check your role permissions.

Go to Admin

From the left navigation menu, click Admin.

At the top of the Admin page, click Integrations.

The Integrations page lets you connect Diversity Sync’d with external tools used by your organisation.

Review Available Integrations

The Integrations page shows the tools that are available or planned.

You may see integrations such as:

  • Xero

  • Employment Hero

  • MYOB

  • QuickBooks

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Stripe

Each integration card may show its current status, such as:

  • Not Connected

  • Coming Soon

If an integration is marked Coming Soon, it cannot be connected yet.

Open an Integration

Click the integration you want to view.

For example, click Xero to open the Xero integration page.

The Xero page shows:

  • Integration name

  • Connection status

  • Connect button

  • Configuration areas

  • Integration information

Review the Xero Integration

The Xero integration is used to help with accounting and payroll workflows.

Xero can support:

  • Timesheets
Sync approved timesheets to Xero payroll.

  • Invoices
Create draft invoices from NDIS claims.

  • Contacts
    Access organisation and contact details.

  • Reconciliation
    Reconcile payments and billing.

The page also includes general information such as the integration category, developer, and website.

Connect Xero

On the Xero integration page, click Connect.

You may be redirected to Xero to sign in and approve access.

After connecting, return to Diversity Sync’d and check that the connection status has updated.

Important note:

  • Each login session may require you to reconnect to Xero.

  • Make sure you use a Xero account with the correct access permissions.

Important Notes

  • Only integrations that are available can be connected.

  • Coming Soon integrations are shown for visibility but are not ready to use yet.

  • Xero access may depend on your role in both Diversity Sync’d and Xero.

  • If Xero is not connected, Xero sync features may not work.

  • Reconnection may be required depending on the session or authentication rules.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot connect Xero:

  • Check that you have permission to manage integrations.

  • Confirm that your Xero login has the correct access.

  • Make sure pop-ups or redirects are not blocked by your browser.

  • Refresh the page and try again.

  • Contact support if the connection still fails.

If an integration is marked Coming Soon:

  • It is not available for connection yet.

  • Check back later or contact support for updates.

If Xero disconnects:

  • Return to Admin > Integrations > Xero.

  • Click Connect again.

  • Complete the Xero sign-in and approval steps.
