Managing Integrations

Learn how to view available integrations, check connection status, connect Xero, and manage multiple connected Xero organisations from the Admin Integrations page.

Written by Windolyn Cortes

1. Go to Admin

From the left navigation menu, click Admin.

At the top of the Admin page, click Integrations.

The Integrations page lets you connect Diversity Sync’d with external tools used by your organisation.

2. Review Available Integrations

The Integrations page shows the tools that are available or planned.

You may see integrations such as:

  • Xero

  • Employment Hero

  • MYOB

  • QuickBooks

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Stripe

Each integration card may show its current status, such as:

  • Connected

  • Not Connected

  • Coming Soon

For Xero, the integration card may also show how many Xero organisations are currently linked.

If an integration is marked Coming Soon, it cannot be connected yet.

3. Open an Integration

Click the integration you want to view.

For example, click Xero to open the Xero integration page.

Before Xero is connected, the page may show:

  • Integration name

  • Connect button

  • Configuration areas

  • Integration information

After Xero has been connected, the page may also show:

  • Number of linked organisations

  • A three-dot menu for managing the Xero connection

  • Add Organisation

  • View Connected Orgs

  • Revoke Authentication

4. Review the Xero Integration

The Xero integration is used to help with accounting, payroll, invoicing, and reconciliation workflows.

Xero can support:

  • Timesheets
Sync approved timesheets to Xero payroll.

  • Invoices
Create draft invoices from NDIS claims.

  • Contacts
    Access organisation and contact details.

  • Reconciliation
    Reconcile payments and billing.

The page also includes general information such as the integration category, developer, and website.

5. Connect Xero

On the Xero integration page, click Connect.

You may be redirected to Xero to sign in and approve access.

Review the organisation and permissions displayed by Xero.

Click Allow access to authorise the connection.

After connecting, return to Diversity Sync’d.

The Xero integration will show that the connection is active and display the number of Xero organisations currently linked.

Make sure you use a Xero account with the correct access permissions.

6. Add Another Xero Organisation

Diversity Sync’d can connect to multiple Xero organisations.

To connect another organisation:

  1. Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.

  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right of the Xero integration.

  3. Click Add Organisation.

  4. Complete the Xero sign-in and authorisation process.

  5. Select and authorise the Xero organisation you want to connect.

  6. Return to Diversity Sync’d when the connection is complete.

The number of linked organisations shown on the Xero integration page will update as organisations are connected.

7. View Connected Xero Organisations

To review the Xero organisations connected to Diversity Sync’d:

  1. Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Click View Connected Orgs.

  4. Review the organisations currently connected to Diversity Sync’d.

This is useful when your organisation works with more than one Xero organisation.

8. Disconnect a Xero Organisation

Connected Xero organisations can be disconnected individually.

To manage a connected organisation:

  1. Go to Admin > Integrations > Xero.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Click View Connected Orgs.

  4. Locate the Xero organisation you want to manage.

  5. Use the available disconnect option for that organisation.

  6. Confirm the action if prompted.

Disconnecting one Xero organisation does not mean that all other connected organisations are disconnected.

9. Manage Xero Authentication

When Xero is connected, the three-dot menu also provides a Revoke Authentication option.

Use this option only when you need to revoke the current Xero authentication.

If you only need to disconnect a specific Xero organisation, open View Connected Orgs and manage that organisation individually instead.

You may need to complete the Xero authorisation process again after authentication has been revoked.

10. Use Multiple Xero Organisations

When multiple Xero organisations are connected, Diversity Sync’d can use the appropriate organisation for Xero-related invoicing workflows.

When sending claims to Xero, select the correct Xero organisation where the option is available.

The selected organisation and its configured Xero information, including its Chart of Accounts, are used for the relevant claim and invoicing process.

Always confirm that you are using the intended Xero organisation before sending financial information.

Important Notes

  • Only integrations that are available can be connected.

  • Coming Soon integrations are shown for visibility but are not ready to use yet.

  • Xero access may depend on your role in both Diversity Sync’d and Xero.

  • More than one Xero organisation can be connected.

  • Connected Xero organisations can be reviewed and disconnected individually.

  • The Xero integration page displays the number of organisations currently linked.

  • When multiple Xero organisations are connected, make sure the correct organisation is selected for the relevant Xero workflow.

  • Xero connection information is associated with the relevant connected organisation.

  • Users with permission to manage integrations may be provided with a link to Integrations when a Xero connection requires attention.

  • Reconnection or reauthorisation may be required depending on the session or authentication rules.

Troubleshooting
