Before You Start
Use this guide to upload a folder or a large group of files into Storage.
Required permissions:
Access to the Storage section
Permission to upload files or folders
Access to the destination location where you want to upload the content
Before you begin:
Make sure your files or folders are ready on your device
Decide where in Storage you want to upload the content
If needed, open the correct folder in Storage before uploading
Open Storage
From the left navigation menu, click Storage.
This opens your organisation’s storage area, where you can view folders and files.
Go to the Correct Upload Location
Navigate to the folder where you want to upload your content.
If you upload from the top level of Storage, your files or folders will be added there instead.
Make sure you are in the correct location before starting the upload.
Start the Upload
Click Upload in the top-right corner of the Storage page.
Select the folder or files you want to upload from your device.
Once selected, the system will begin preparing the upload.
You may see a progress panel, such as Preparing folder upload, which shows:
The number of files
The number of folders
The current preparation stage, such as Creating folders
Wait for the Upload to Finish
Allow the upload to continue until the system completes all items.
During the upload, the panel will keep updating the progress.
When finished, you will see an Upload complete panel showing:
The completed count
A list of uploaded files
Upload statuses for each file
Some items may show a status such as Already uploaded if matching files already exist.
Confirm the Uploaded Folder or Files
Check the Storage table to confirm that the uploaded folder or files now appear in the list.
Review the row details if needed, including:
Name
Access
Type
Size
Modified
If the uploaded content appears in the table, the bulk upload has completed successfully.
Important Notes
You can upload to the main Storage area or inside an existing folder.
If you bulk upload a folder, the system prepares the folder structure before uploading files.
If a file already exists, the upload panel may show Already uploaded for that item.
Large uploads may take longer depending on file size, folder size, and internet connection.
If you upload content into a location without restricted permissions, review the access settings afterwards.
If you need uploaded files to be limited to certain users or roles, upload them into the correct folder or update permissions after upload.
Troubleshooting
If the upload does not start:
Make sure you clicked Upload
Try selecting the files or folder again
Refresh the page and try again
If the upload stalls on preparation:
Wait a little longer for large folders
Check your internet connection
Try uploading again in a smaller batch if needed
If files show Already uploaded:
Review whether the files already exist in Storage
Confirm whether you need to keep the existing files or upload renamed versions instead
If the uploaded folder does not appear:
Refresh the Storage page
Check that you uploaded to the correct folder location
Use the Search storage... field to look for the folder or file name
If you still have trouble:
Contact your support team
Include the folder name, number of files, and what happened during the upload
