Payment Security

What is Stripe?

Stripe is a global payment infrastructure used by millions of businesses to process secure online transactions. Diversity Sync’d uses Stripe for all billing, invoicing, and card management to ensure a safe, seamless payment experience.

You may occasionally receive emails from stripe.com or be briefly redirected to a Stripe-hosted page when updating your payment details. These actions are part of Stripe’s secure workflow. Always confirm emails genuinely come from @stripe.com to avoid phishing.

Stripe encrypts and stores your card details — Diversity Sync’d never sees or stores card numbers.

Are my card details stored by Diversity Sync'd?

No.
Your card information is sent directly to Stripe, who returns a unique token. We store only that token, which cannot be used outside of Diversity Sync’d. All sensitive card data stays with Stripe.

How are my payments processed?

When you make a payment, Diversity Sync’d sends your saved token to Stripe. Stripe then charges the correct card and securely processes the transaction end-to-end.

Making Payments

What is an authorization charge?

An authorization charge is a small temporary charge (usually $1) used to verify that your card is valid. It may appear on your bank statement but is automatically reversed within a few days depending on your bank.

Why does Diversity Sync’d perform authorization charges?

Authorization helps:

  • Confirm the card is legitimate and active

  • Prevent fraudulent signups

  • Verify the user has a valid payment method

  • Ensure future payments will process successfully

Stripe performs this check automatically when you add a card.

What is Stripe Climate?

Stripe Climate funds emerging carbon-removal technologies. Diversity Sync’d contributes 1% of all revenue to this initiative through Stripe, supporting projects designed to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere.

You may see Stripe Climate referenced on invoices — this reflects our environmental commitment and participation in the program.

Errors

Why did I get a 403 error?

A 403 error appears when access is blocked by our security systems. Common reasons include:

  • Accessing the platform from outside Australia

  • Using a VPN or masked IP address

If you're in Australia and not using a VPN:

  1. Ensure your VPN is fully disabled

  2. Verify your IP shows an Australian location

  3. If the issue continues, submit a support ticket and include the Request ID from the error screen

This information helps us resolve the issue quickly.
